Glennda Field

Glennda Field is an artist who I found browsing watercolor art in the Portland area. Although she resides in Corbett Oregon she is an award winning artist and belongs to OSA, Oregon Society of Artists. Her paintings vary from figures and faces to animals, flowers and landscapes. I am a big fan of using watercolors, it was the first medium I was introduced to and I know how hard it can be to work with. I commend the use of color and space in her work as well as making it look so easy! She does not just work in watercolors she also works in other mediums as well, like acrylics.

New Art-Milton Glaser

Milton Glaser is a graphic Designer who is very well known for his 'I love New York' Logo. Since I am considering entering parts or all of this field I find this artist very inspirational and interesting. His use of color is fun but not distracting.

My Idea for the Final.

I am thinking about doing a man and his dog playing fetch. Simple yet complicated in its entirety.
I want to make a man and his god walk into the screen and find a ball. Then I want to have the man pick up the ball and look at it. He's then going to throw the ball and the dog is going to run after it. The owner of the dog will still be holding onto the dogs leash and will get pulled behind him.

Flying Rhino

Flying Rhino is an animation studio that I was able to tour as a young adult. This is a place where they distribute educational children's books, interactive programming, classroom materials, software, and websites. All of there products are animated with different characters to encourage children to learn while being fun, entertaining and educational.

New Art-Cindy Sherman

Cindy Sherman is an artist that I watched and learned about in my art 390 painting class. She takes images of herself and changes what she looks like. She also will dress up as different people or characters, for example her series of clowns. I enjoy the way she plays with her different photos and images. It makes a person want to look and enjoy her work that much more after knowing what her process is and how much fun she has.
